Yatika Starr Fields painted a mural dedicated to the Indigenous Peoples of the University of Missouri in the Student Center. The mural represents the campus's move towards re-establishing the presence of Native Peoples on campus and honoring their unique histories and connection to the campus's land.

Zoar was founded in 1817 by a group of immigrants from Wurttemburg, Germany, who sought religious freedom. The mandatory military service in Germany prompted many pacifist groups, like the Zoarites, to immigrate to the United States.
