The monument itself is a six-foot tall marker made of red granite, the state stone. One side of the monument tells the story of the Pomeranian settlers, while the other features maps that shows the origins and destinations of said settlers. The tiles that make up the ground around the marker have the names of the original settlers engraved into them.
