James Brendan Connolly Monument


This is a statue that commemorates James Brendan Connolly, an American athlete and author who was the son of Irish immigrants.

James Brendan Connolly was an American athlete who competed in the Olympics. Later in his life, he became a prominent American author. Connolly was one of 12 children of Irish immigrants. 

Physical Aspects: 

The monument has a large plaque with Connolly's name, as well as a statue of him. In the statue, Connolly is depicted so that it looks like he just completed an Olympic track event.
